FIREFIGHTERS and paramedics have evacuated a popular pizza takeaway this evening (Tue) after four members of staff were taken ill.

The Domino’s store in the Boulevard, Weston, has been closed after several employees complained of feeling nauseous.

Two ambulances were called shortly before 8pm and they requested assistance from the fire service upon arrival.

A spokesman for Avon Fire & Rescue said the cause of the nausea was not yet known but early indications suggest it could have been caused by problems with the extractor fan.

Emergency services are still on the scene checking other members of staff, at the back of the takeaway in Palmer Row.

A police roadblock around the rear of the building has also been put in place.
