YOUNG PEOPLE are getting ready to showcase their talents in a display after youngsters suggested there was not enough fun things for them to do in the area. The organisers of the show are looking for people under 18 years-old who can sing, dance, act, or who have a talent in comedy or magic to take part in the Actionwork Youth Talent Showcase on September 1. The show, which is free to enter, is not a competition and everyone who takes part will receive a one-off designer t-shirt. So far six acts have signed up but the director is looking for many more. Andy Hickson, show director said: "The idea for this show came after feedback from young people in Weston suggested they want more outlets to showcase their creativity. "We want to create something for the young people which is not a competition but still allows them to have fun and benefit from showing their talents." The showcase is being held at The Blakehay in Wadham Street and tickets priced £4, adults and £3 for commissions are available from the box office now. Under 5's can enter for free. Anyone who wants to take part in the show can call Andy on (01934) 8151643
