A FUN day with a difference was held in a Sedgemoor village to help raise money for a health centre in Africa last weekend.

Hill House in Battleborough Lane, Brent Knoll, hosted a fun day with a Cameroonian twist, with money going to Edith’s Dream, which helps provide healthcare for people in a remote area of Cameroon.

The day, held on Sunday, included performances by African dancers and visitors were able to sample some delicious traditional Cameroonian street food – all mixed in with the traditional British summer fete.

There was also a dog show, as well as a number of craft stalls and a barbecue.

Edith’s Dream is the UK support for the Grace Foundation Trust health centre in Mbengwi, a rural area in the west of the poverty-stricken country, and one affected by a critical lack of adequate healthcare.
