A taste of the States will be on offer at a one-off charity event being held at Worlebury Golf Club this autumn.

An American-themed evening will take place at the Monks Hill club on September 16, with organisers promising ‘food, music and plenty of fun’ for those who head along.

American-style food platters will be served, while live band Tarantula will perform music through the decades to add to the party feel. A raffle offering a wide range of exciting prizes will also be held.

The event has been organised to support two charities; Children’s Hospice South West, which is based in North Somerset and supports children with life-limiting conditions and their families, and the Bone Cancer Research Trust, which was chosen to support the fundraising efforts of the Collard family from Worle, after their daughter Mary lost her life to the disease in 2012.

The night begins at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £20, and can be booked by emailing Charlotte at charmagpie59@yahoo.com
