A PET lover is offering taxi rides for animals to and from their appointments as well as therapy sessions to improve their behaviour.

Jo Buckingham, of Hill Park in Congresbury, is a professional dog listener and studies the behaviour of pets across North Somerset to help owners train them better.

The 42-year-old, who has three dogs, a cat and a horse, was made redundant from her office job four years ago and the animal lover decided she wanted to work with pets.

Jo walks dogs for people in Nailsea, Clevedon, Yatton and surrounding villages. She looks after people's pets when they go on holiday, ferries them to and from appointments and holds dog listening sessions to improve canine behaviour.

She said: "I've always loved animals and often looked after my friends' pets, so I thought I'd give it a go.

"I help people if they are having problems with their dogs. The common problems are if they are pulling on their leads or are aggressive and I help the owner to turn their behaviour round."

Jo passed well-known dog listener, Jan Fennell's, foundation and advanced courses in canine communication and is now an associate dog listener.

She also offers dog walking services, dog day care and overnight stays, holiday care for pets as well as a pet taxi and she carries out stable work.

Anyone interested can call Jo on 01934 835123 or 07743 173547.
