THESE creative youngsters were treated to tea in the mayor’s parlour after designing communal artwork that will soon be on show in Weston’s Grove Park.

The four – Walliscote Primary School pupils Spencer Sully, John Paul Solatario, Sophie Evans and Billy Gee – were rewarded for their efforts with tea with town mayor David Hitchins and mayoress Carol Hitchins at Grove House on June 21.

Their designs for a carved wooden sensory board were chosen as the winners by the mayor, Weston in Bloom chairman Richard Knowles and Mercury reporter James Franklin last month.

The winners and their fellow entrants were all given a certificate for taking part.
