A 16-YEAR-OLD boy was left with a broken jaw when he and a friend were assaulted in Weston town centre.

The two teenagers were injured following an altercation in Alexandra Parade at around 10.30pm on November 15, after the conclusion of Weston carnival.

One victim was taken to the Bristol Royal Infirmary with a broken jaw, and the second youth received treatment for more minor facial injuries at Weston General Hospital.

Police have since arrested two other teenagers – one aged 18, one aged 16 – on suspicion of robbery and assault.

The pair have since been released on police bail, pending further inquiries, and officers are hoping witnesses to the assault will now come forward.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Weston CID on 0845 4567000.
