A teenage girl who fell from a motorway bridge on Friday is in hospital in a ‘stable condition’, according to police.
Police and ambulance crews were called to the incident at 12.40pm on Friday, where the 17-year-old girl had fallen from a motorway bridge between Weston and Clevedon.
The northbound carriageway of the motorway was closed by Highways England.
A spokesman from Avon and Somerset Constabulary appealed for witnesses to come forward and has since spoken to a number of people.
They added: “The woman remains in a stable condition in hospital.
“We’ve spoken to the cyclist we appealed for, and several other members of the public.
“We would like to thank each and every person who has come forward to help us with the inquiry.”
