A TEENAGER was left with a fractured rib after he was assaulted and robbed in broad daylight.

The incident happened on July 14 between 3.30-4pm when the 13-year-old boy was riding his mountain bike along a footpath which runs alongside Coast Road in Berrow.

The boy was pushed off his bike by another teenager, and was grabbed by another two boys and forced to the ground. He was told to empty his pockets and was then assaulted by the first teenager, leaving him with a fractured rib and severe bruising.

The youth stole his Saracen mountain bike, a Samsung Galaxy SII mobile phone and a key and ran off towards the golf course.

The first teenager has been described as white, aged between 15-16 years, of average build and was referred to by the two others as Dragon.

The other two were described as white, aged between 15-16 years and wearing dark hooded tops. One was described as skinny and having a London accent, while the other is described as having yellow coloured teeth. All three are reported to have been wearing woollen gloves.

Police are now appealing for anyone who may have been in the area at the time to contact them on 101 and quoting reference number 76704/12.
