Teenager taken to hospital after car crash today (Mon)

A TEENAGER was taken to hospital with neck injuries after a car pile-up on a roundabout on the edge of Weston this morning (Mon).

Ambulance and fire rescue services were called to help free and treat the man who was left trapped in a car at the West Wick roundabout of the A370.

It followed a three-vehicle collision on the junction soon after 11am.

A spokesman for Great Western Ambulance Service said the man was taken to Weston General Hospital with neck injuries, although it was unclear how serious they were.

Fire crews remained at the scene to help clear the junction while police directed traffic.

By 12.45pm, the road was clear again.
