TWO teenage boys have been arrested for grievous bodily harm after a young couple was assaulted in Backwell.
The attack happened at 10.30pm on Saturday when a 19-year-old boy was assaulted after a fight outside Backwell Football Club in West Town Road.
About an hour later, the victim was with his 17-year-old girlfriend on the A370 Farleigh Road when they were both attacked.
The man was treated for cuts to his head, arms and wrists at Bristol Royal Infirmary.
Two boys, aged 17 and 19, have been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm.
It is believed a large group of people were around the football club at the time of the first assault and police are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the attack.
