POLICE are appealing for witnesses after two young men were assaulted in Clevedon in the early hours of Sunday.The two 17-year-old victims were buying food from the kebab van on Strode Road at around 2.30am on May 27 when they were allegedly attacked from behind and punched and kicked to the floor several times.Both suffered swelling, bruising and cuts to their faces during the unprovoked attack.It is believed that a number of people may have witnessed the assault.Police are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and saw the attack and are urging people to contact Nailsea Police Station or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
