5.18pm 30.08.07 - A BOY was left stranded for more than an hour on cliffs at Uphill today (Thurs) as his friend lay at the bottom after falling.
The drama unfolded as the 16-year-old and his 18-year-old friend tried to climb the cliff face.
The youngster called emergency services from his mobile after his friend lost his footing and fell 30 foot to the ground.
Cliff rescue, fire service and ambulance crews attended the scene.
They rescued the 16-year-old who was clinging to the rocks and took his friend to Weston General Hospital.
