PEOPLE calling Weston General Hospital are facing delays in operators answering their calls because of a telephone fault this morning (Thurs).

A spokesman for the hospital said a problem involving the BT exchange is restricting the number of available telephone lines.

He said: “We apologise for this inconvenience which is beyond our control and we will give an update on the expected duration of this problem as soon as possible.

“We would like to thank our callers for their patience and advise that all non-essential calls should be avoided if possible.”
