IRISH folk music will take centre stage in Weston at the end of April.The Fureys and Davey Arthur will appear at The Playhouse on April 29.George, Paul and Eddie, otherwise known as The Fureys, came from a family of travelling people and were encouraged to take up music as a career after being given the choice between musical instruments and shovel by their parents.Eddie left home to follow his dream in 1966 and travelled to Scotland where he met and shared a flat with Bill Connolly, Gerry Rafferty and Alex Campbell. His brothers meanwhile played with Davey Arthur in The Buskers.In 1978 the brothers united and The Fureys and Davey Arthur was formed.
