Villagers have gathered for an annual harvest home celebration.

Despite some torrential downpours, this year’s Wedmore Harvest Home was a hit once again with hundreds revelling in the day’s events.

It started with the annual service in The Borough before the popular procession gathered, which saw classic cars, horses and floats lead the way to the marquee at the playing fields in Blackford Road.

The venue was packed for the luncheon as guests sat down to enjoy a selection of delicious meats as well as local cider.

Children were able to get involved later in the afternoon during a sports day on the field before they were given the chance to relax with sandwiches and cakes.

The day was brought to a close in style with an evening of live music from Kindred Spirit and Lauren Male before headliners The Wurzels brought proceedings to a close with a typically barnstorming performance.
