YOUNG performers got together for a photo call in order to raise awareness of their musical show this week.

More than 80 youngsters have been using function rooms at the Grand Pier in Weston to rehearse for a stage production of the classic 1963 film Summer Holiday.

The project is being run by the professional youth theatre company, Loganwest Productions and performers had just days to perfect their lines.

Summer Holiday, which will be performed at the Playhouse. will feature a string of hits including The Young Ones, Bachelor Boy and Do ya Wanna Dance?, as well as the classic single Summer Holiday.

The show is a culmination of the Loganwest Summer Youth Project – a two-week intensive course, which has led to five full-scale performances.

Summer Holiday will be staged until Saturday at The Playhouse in Weston.

Tickets, priced £11, are available from the box office 01934 645544 or via www.theplayhouse.co.uk
