A PENSIONER has had cash stolen from his house by a man pretending to investigate a water problem.

The man in his 80s, who police have not named, allowed the suspect into his house only for him to turn taps on and off and make off with the cash. The incident took place at about 7pm on May 19.

Police are now hunting for a 5ft 8ins white man of medium build.

He was clean shaven, had dark-coloured medium length hair which was brushed forward and he spoke with a Somerset accent.

Anyone with information should call the police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
