A PENSIONER with poor eye sight was targeted by thieves posing as plumbers. The 87-year-old woman in Ringstone, West Huntspill answered the door to the two men on July 4 at 11.15am.They said they needed to go into the house to check the plumbing as her neighbour was flooded. The woman was unhappy about the men and tried to get out to speak to her neighbour but the men did not want to let her go. Eventually she left, leaving her front door open. When she returned later a large sum of money had been taken from her wardrobe. Both males are thought to be in their 30s. One is described as being short with thick, dark hair. One was wearing a brown top and the other was wearing a blue top. Residents in the Burnham area have been warned to be on their guard and not let people into their home unless they are comfortable with them and they have shown identification.
