THOUSANDS-OF-POUNDS have been donated to a North Somerset children's charity by a Weston-based bank.

Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) has been given £3,500 by Santander Business Banking in the town after it decided to match the amount raised at a charity ball held last year.

The ball, organised by the Weston-based North Somerset Enterprise Agency, saw more than £3,000 raised for charities across North Somerset and Santander nominated CHSW to receive the match-funding toward its work supporting children with life-limiting illnesses and their families at its Wraxall hospice, Charlton Farm.

Will Taylor of Santander Business Banking has since presented a cheque, along with Terry Gilbert of North Somerset Enterprise Agency, to CHSW corporate partnerships fund-raiser Kate Fisher.
