A GROUP of friends organised a night of live music to raise money for the Bristol Oncology centre.

Friends Sarah Boston, Lucy Stringer, Venetia Hume and Vicky Symons created the night called ONSTOCK in memory of loved ones who dealt with cancer.

Sarah said: “This event was not to specifically remember just one person, it was for everyone who has known someone who has dealt with cancer to come together and raise money.

“At the end of the night we also lit some lanterns and set them off in memory of different people.”

The event, which was held at the Winter Gardens, Weston, raised more than £4,000 and final contributions are still being added.
