A CHARITY hospice's big tea party raised over £2,000 last weekend.
More than 250 people went to Weston Hospicecare in Thornbury Road in Uphill to enjoy a cream tea and a glass of pimms.
Olivia Easton from Congresbury won the best hat competition in the children’s mad hatters tea party.
She wore an Alice in Wonderland dress and Mad Hatter hat.
Children were also involved in egg and spoon races, hopping races and a giant musical chairs game.
The event had stalls throughout the afternoon selling jewellery, scarves and plants.
Event organiser Sue Sweet said: “We were so lucky to have such beautiful weather, it was wonderful.
“Thank you to everyone who either helped at the event or attended the event with their families making it a fantastic afternoon.”
