A surprising number of people are leaving the accident and emergency (A&E) department every day without being treated.
More than 100 people are walking out of Weston General Hospital’s A&E department without treatment each month.
New statistics from NHS Digital reveal 118 people left the department without treatment in January this year.
The average amount of people walking out of the Weston-super-Mare A&E totals three per day.
In December, 138 people left without being seen and in November the figure sat at 115.
