Three people assaulted after Wurzels gig

A MAN suffered a broken jaw when a gang of young men attacked him and two other people after a Wurzels concert in Weston.

The attack started on the Grand Pier following the event, before moving on to Beach Road at about 11.30pm on May 21.

The victim, aged 17, suffered serious facial injuries and a broken jaw from the attack.

He required an operation and treatment at the Bristol Royal Infirmary hospital.

Another man, also aged 17, suffered scratches, while a woman, aged 22, escaped injury, although she was pushed to the floor.

Police say there was a large number of people in the area at the time and are appealing for witnesses.
