Tickets are now on sale for the South West Outdoor Festival, which will be held in Cheddar this year.

In September, people of all ages will be able to take part in trail-running races, rock climbing, hikes, water sports and more.

In the evenings campers will be able to gather around fires and enjoy the best food and drink Somerset has to offer, listen to live music or visit an outdoor cinema.

The festival has been organised by the National Trust, in partnership with clothes retailer Cotsworld Outdoor, and will see people camping out under the stars in Cheddar Gorge.

The event, which is in its second year, had strong support from the Mendip Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Cheddar Parish Council, Longleat – who own and operated the gorge – and Somerset Wildlife Trust.

The South West Outdoor Festival will be in Cheddar Gorge, in Cliff Road, from September 8-10.

Day tickets and camping tickets, priced £3-225, are available from www.nationaltrust.org.uk or call 03448 001895 for more information.
