A YOUNG mum from Weston died from a suspected drugs overdose while her 16-month-old son sat in the same room. When Hannah Dowling's friend arrived at her flat in Windermere Avenue on the Bournville estate on July 5, he found the 24-year-old's body curled in a ball on her bed and her little boy Ellis sitting in the corner of the room. Her friends believe she could have been dead for anything between six and 36 hours.Hannah's best friend for 12 years, Connie Lock, has described the former Banwell Primary and Churchill Community School pupil, as a 'brilliant mum'.The 25-year-old mother-of-four who lives in Banwell, said: "Hannah was so happy when she found out she was pregnant and she felt she had someone to love and someone to be loved by."She was a brilliant mum and was always praising her son and saying how proud she was of him. She put him before anyone else."She was very close to her mum Jackie. Since she left school they have been like best friends as well. Hannah was always round her house."She loved all her family and she thought the world of her siblings, Ben, Joe and Jess."My fondest memory is of when we went on holiday together on an Elvis weekend when we were 14. "Hannah loved going out and having a good time. She liked hardcore music and Coldplay."She would always say what she thought and was always up for a laugh."I am going to get some pictures together for Hannah's mum Jackie so she can show them to Ellis."Because nobody knows what happened to Hannah yet people are just falling apart at the moment."Because a post-mortem has proved inconclusive an inquest into Hannah's cause of death was expected to open Wednesday (July 11).Hannah's funeral will take place on July 19 at 2pm at Weston Crematorium in Ebdon Road. Anyone who knew Hannah is welcome.
