Community leaders in Banwell have opposed a plan for two stables – claiming it would lead to too many horses in the area.

Banwell Parish Council has objected to the application for the wooden buildings in a field off Moor Road. The applicant, who breeds horses on the land, says the stables are needed to house her livestock

But in a statement to North Somerset Council, parish councillors said: “Such development would give rise to additional problems associated with such use including increased vehicle movements and deterioration of local bridleways.”
