FOUR boys from Somerset have received a top award for their conservation work in Cheddar Gorge.
Isaac Taschimowitcz, aged 17, from Loxton, Kieran Cobell, aged 12, of Winscombe, Robert Hall, aged 11, from Cross and Garry Sutlief, aged 13, of Coxley have been presented with the Discovery level of the John Muir Award.
This prize was set up 13 years ago to encourage young people to discover and help conserve the natural world.
The award-giving was made at the Christmas meeting of the Mendip Hills Wildlife Watch group, which is supported by the Somerset Wildlife Trust and meets every month.
