A FARMERS' Market turned 10 on the weekend, with residents turning out in force to celebrate Axbridge's biggest ever stall turnout.

A celebratory cake was served up and a raffle held among stalls, with residents and visitors enjoying the special day.

The market sees local producers selling a range of items including meats, cheeses, cakes, jams and juices.

A Sustainable Axbridge event held in the town hall also had a boost in numbers, thanks in part to the market.

Axbridge Chamber of Trade chairman Liz Scott said: “We had a good turnout of stalls, probably the best ever.

“It has always been a very well supported market and it has grown over the years.

“It is just such a perfect place for it.”
