HISTORIC knights, archers and Olympic cyclists were some of the floats and costumes which featured in an annual carnival held on Saturday.
The Axbridge Blackberry Carnival saw residents dress up on the theme of myths, legends and fairy tales while mayors from across the district met for a lunch.
A fair was also held in The Square while a procession of floats went through the town centre in the afternoon.
A barbecue was then hosted by the town’s Chamber of Commerce in the evening.
Chamber chairman Liz Scott said: “It went really well. The town was very lucky with the weather and there was a very good turnout.”
