AMBULANCE coverage in Weston has risen by 50 per cent.
Since June 10 the number of two-man teams based in the town has increased from two to three.
The move comes after Great Western Ambulance Trust chief executive Tim Lynch came under fire last year due to the service's poor response times unearthed by the resort's MP.
According to John Penrose, response rates for serious emergencies, known as category A incidents, fell from 2005/6-2006/7.
