A YELLOW and blue flag will fly over Weston beach this summer after it was announced as being one of the cleanest in the country.Weston was handed the Seaside Award flag after passing nearly 30 tests including beach cleanliness, safety and management, providing first aid, clean toilets and providing up-to-date information and disabled access. The beach also meets the European standard for water quality.North Somerset Council was given the prestigious award by Environmental Campaigns, a charity which campaigns for improvements to the environment.
