BUSINESSES in Worle have pulled the plug on a popular festive event.Worle Traders' Association has decided to shelve the festive fair which has taken over the High Street every December for the past three years.Instead it is planning on holding a similar event during the summer.Letters were sent out to shops and outlets in the village to let them know the news.Worle Traders' Association chairman, Mike Skidmore, said: "We're not running the Christmas fair this year because last year the weather made it a wash out. We can also make more money towards the Christmas lights other ways through things such as quiz evenings."It's good for Worle High Street to show what it's got on offer though so we hope to hold a summer fair in July.
