Fatal A370 crash: Police open road

The A370 is now open between Weston-super-Mare and Congresbury, after being closed for close to six hours.

Avon and Somerset Constabulary has re-opened the busy road, which was closed after a man died in an accident this morning.

Police were called at 10am this morning (Friday) after an accident in Station Road, Congresbury.

The incident involved a pedestrian and a lorry. An air ambulance was called to the scene, but the man sadly died.

The road was closed between junction 21 of the M5 and Smallway junction in Congresbury.

Police are investigating the incident, and thanked motorists for their patience throguhout the day.
