POLICE and fire crews tackled a blaze in a car on a Weston road this morning (Friday).

Avon Fire and Rescue Service was called to Flowerdown Bridge to reports of a car fire earlier today.

Firefighters called police officers to help control the traffic while they put the fire out.

The fire is now out and nobody was hurt, but there may be some residual traffic delays.
