Train services return after vandalism problems

PUBLISHED: 09:19 23 May 2012

TRAIN services across the region are up and running as normal after vandalism caused travel misery for thousands of passengers yesterday (Tues).

The theft of cable from around Parson Street station caused long delays and cancellations, affecting services from Weston, Yatton, Worle and Highbridge & Burnham.

But following emergency repair work the line is now running as normal today.

A First Great Western spokesman apologised for inconvenience caused to passengers.
