WESTON Hospicecare launched its annual Tree of Light appeal at two special services in the district.

The Uphill-based charity is once again encouraging people to dedicate a Christmas tree light in memory of a loved one.

Dedication services were held at Cadbury Garden and Leisure in Congresbury last Thursday and at the Sovereign Centre on Saturday.

Gill Young, the charity’s chief executive, and North Somerset Council chairman Ann Harley switched on the tree lights respectively.

In return for a donation to the charity, dedications will be listed in a special book of remembrance.
