A NINE-YEAR-OLD girl has won a national competition for her creative treehouse.

Molly Pilling, who lives in Dolberrow near Churchill, has been awarded the treehouse of the year award.

Wildlife television presenter Michaela Strachan visited Molly to see her creation and said: “The winning entry by Molly was absolutely fantastic.

“I loved the treehouse’s wildlife theme, with the painted ladybirds and butterflies, and the bird feeder and water bottle.

“The added zip wire was also pretty impressive. It was exactly the sort of treehouse I imagined having as a child.

“You could see there had been a lot of input and creative help from Molly and her brother Sam on the treehouse design and it’s great to see children getting involved with the outdoors.”

Hundreds of entries from across the country were submitted as part of Littlewoods’ competition.
