A NAILSEA residential home has scooped three care awards for excellence.
Laurel Court Residential and Nursing Home, Brockway, picked up three accolades in the Southern Cross Care Awards 2007.
Administrator Elaine Brown won the Excellence in Marketing award for designing the home's brochure and for producing the 2008 charity calendars featuring some scantily clad residents.
Activities co-ordinator Elaine Dillon picked up an Excellence in Activities Award for putting on a host of events for residents from hoopla and skittles nights to X Factor competitions and variety shows.
Housekeeper Mimi Carey won the Catering Prize of Excellence for keeping the home spotless and the dedicated worker has also gone through to the finals of the national competition.
Manager Marie Watts said: "It's amazing to have won three awards. We can't put it into words how we feel. They all deserve the recognition because they work so hard.
