THE first deadline for plans to develop the derelict Tropicana has been extended by three months.North Somerset Council was supposed to sign the development agreement with developers Henry Boot to completely overhaul the seafront site in Weston by June 30.The deadline has not been met because details including the size of the swimming pool have not been confirmed. The agreement is a document signed by both parties before a planning application is put together.The council has extended the deadline until the end of September.Council leader Councillor Alan Hockridge said: "We're meeting with Henry Boot regularly and are happy with the progress."A North Somerset Council spokesman said: "Henry Boot and the council have reached agreement on all main points but the agreement can only be signed when the council has details of the scheme including elements such as the size of the pool.
