Archant

A STEAM engine, a collection of classic cars and one of the stars of the cult Yeo Valley adverts all made an appearance at a fete at Blagdon Court on Sunday.

As well as being able to see Ted the Owl, the feathery TV celebrity famous for his appearances on the organic dairy producers’ adverts, youngsters were treated to a magic show and a spot of maypole dancing.

Organiser Christine Smith said the event had raised more than £3,500 for St Andrew’s Church, the Blagdon and Butcombe Youth Work Trust, and Facing Africa.
