NEWLYWEDS Ross and Helen Bliss got a shock during their Boxing Day wedding at the Winter Gardens when former EastEnders star Shaun Williamson wished them well in their married life.Ross, aged 31, of Shrubbery Walk, Weston, was nervous about giving a speech on the big day so he recorded a touching message to his new wife using a video camera.Unusually, Ross had three best men - Ben Davies, Simon Angear and Edward Keating - who also recorded their speeches. Ross' friend Tim Moore, who is also the technical director for Ross' company Redshift, edited the footage and added his own little surprise. When it was time for the speeches, guests pulled up their chairs to watch them on a big screen and, as they came to an end, Shaun's cheery face appeared to wish the happy couple well. He also threw in some jokes about his own married life.Shaun, who played Barry Evans in the BBC soap and starred alongside Ricky Gervais in the second series of Extras, is currently playing King Rat in the panto Dick Whittington at The Playhouse, where Tim also works backstage.Tim said: "Ross asked me if I could ask Shaun to say something. I said he wouldn't do it because he doesn't do free work on the side, but Shaun was well up for it. When they saw the speech Ross and Helen were ecstatic."Ross and Helen, aged 34, a teaching assistant at Wyvern Community School, met 17 years ago on a field trip with the school. On Boxing Day, Helen danced down the aisle with her two sons Hal, aged 12, and Jack, aged nine, who were dressed as 1930s gangsters and fired gigantic party poppers over the couple when they were declared husband and wife.As well as a first dance later in the evening Ross and Helen had their first 'fight' on an inflatable Gladiator-style platform where they fought each other with pugil sticks. The happy couple, along with hundreds of family members and friends, then enjoyed the rest of the day and evening playing giant Connect 4, Twister, table football, Playstation games, and even got the chance to test their cool in a poker tournament. The dress code was 'anything goes' and people wore fancy dress as well as smart attire. Ross and Helen spent their honeymoon in Disney World, Florida.
