THE latest sensation to come from the Emerald Isle visits The Playhouse, Weston, on November 14.The Twelve Irish Tenors will perform a light hearted concert of Irish folk songs, big opera numbers and pop classics old and new.The show offers a mixture of harmony and melody with opera classics such as O Sole Mio and Nessun Dorma as well as pop favourites such as Hey Jude and You Raise Me Up.Each member of the group has the opportunity to showcase their talents during the show, while some of the most moving songs sees all 12 of the Irish tenors singing in unison.The tenors include Joseph Connell, who recently performed in the UK national tour of Grease, Neil Couperthwaite, whose credits include The Rocky Horror Show, Rent and the London production of Grease, and Stuart Hickey, who performed in the European tour of Jesus Christ Superstar and has also appeared in Heartbeat and Grange Hill.Although they may look more boy band than other great tenors, their tuned vocal chords combine with charisma and a passion for music.The performance starts at 7.30pm.
