POLICE executed a drugs warrant on a Weston estate this week.

Acting on intelligence received from the local community, police have arrested two women aged 34 and 18 after finding a large quantity of suspected class A drugs at a property in Baildon Road on the Bournville on Monday.

The 34-year-old has been bailed pending further enquiries and the 18-year-old woman was charged with attempted possession with intent to supply.

Sergeant Shane Hawkings said: “It is important that we continue to target individuals who are involved with drug supply within our communities.

“It was the local community who provided the information which alerted us to the activity taking place at this address and we really value their continued support.

“We are committed to make our neighbourhoods and communities safer and urge the public that if they suspect something, report it to us.”

If you have information about drugs being grown, supplied or abused in your community call police on 0845 456 7000.
