Union members set to be balloted over strike action

PUBLIC sector workers across North Somerset are set to be balloted on whether to take strike action in the next month.
Members of Unison may take to the picket line in November as part of an ongoing dispute about plans to change public sector pensions.
Members have been urged to take part in the biggest industrial action ballot in national history after negotiations with the Government stalled.
Unison currently has 2,368 members across the district, meaning services across North Somerset could be badly affected.
