PUBLIC services union UNISON is calling on the people of Somerset to rally in protest against upcoming cuts to services.
They are calling people to join the protest march taking place at French Weir in Taunton tomorrow (Dec 18), and are saying that Somerset Council are taking lots of risks in order to slash public services.
Helen Eccles, UNISON’s regional organiser for the South West, said: “The message we are hearing is about the importance and value of these services. Staff have told us they are already delivering these services with a skeleton staff. They simply can not continue with less.”
