UPDATE: Boy, 10, flown to hospital after fall from Cheddar cliff

A BOY was flown to hospital with head injuries and a suspected broken femur yesterday evening after falling 20 feet from the cliffs in Cheddar.

Fire and ambulance crews used a series of ropes to navigate the steep route to the boy, who was about half a mile along the gorge when he fell.

The 10-year-old was stretchered to the air ambulance landing point before being flown to Bristol Children’s Hospital with head injuries and a suspected broken femur.

The current condition of the boy is unknown.
