TWO men were arrested in Weston on Wednesday when police carried out a drugs raid on a house in Martindale Court.

TWO men were arrested in Weston on Wednesday when police carried out a drugs raid on a house in Martindale Court.

The men, aged 31 and 54, were arrested on suspicion of possessing heroin. Both men have been released on bail.

Police recovered £200 worth of heroin at the scene.

The raid, shortly after 9am was part of Avon and Somerset police’s ongoing Operation Relentless push on tackling drug problems.

Police are looking to stay vigilant on drugs in the area.

A spokesman for the force said: “We want to reassure the public that we are taking drugs seriously and we will be tough on offenders.”

Police asked anyone with any information to call 101.
