AN ELDERLY man with dementia who went missing in Weston last week has been found.

James Perkins, aged 74, of Weston, went missing on Saturday at around 11.30am at a bus stop by Tesco in the town centre and an appeal was put out by Avon and Somerset Constabulary.

He had said he was going shopping but it was unknown if he actually boarded a bus or where he was planning to go.

James has previously travelled to different parts of the country and spent time in bed and breakfast accommodation.

People were asked to keep an eye out for James on the bank holiday weekend and hoteliers and bed and breakfast providers were asked to be particularly vigilant in case someone matching James’ description turned up.

Mr Perkins was then found safe and well on Monday in Dorset.
