Van driver targeted by robbers

TWO men who tried to rob a van driver as he made a Weston delivery are being hunted by police.

The worker was unloading stock from the back of a large white van parked in Baker Street between 5-5.30pm on September 12, when he was confronted.

Two white men, both in their 20s, approached the driver and demanded cash, before running off along Alfred Street towards the Boulevard.

Although the duo fled empty-handed, police are keen to track them down, and have issued the following descriptions.

The first man was around 5ft 8in tall and of medium build, and was wearing a baseball cap, jeans and a long-sleeved brown top.

The second was around 5ft 7in tall and also of medium build, was also wearing a baseball cap, along with a white T-shirt and jeans.
